Data Transparency & Purpose
Why do we request user data?
Offline AI Chat is designed with transparency at its core. We request minimal data strictly for the following purposes:
- Identity: If you choose to sign in with Google, we use your email to create and manage your account identity via Firebase Authentication.
- Local Processing: Files and images you upload are processed locally on your device to provide AI-driven insights and are never uploaded to our servers.
- App Improvements: Minimal, anonymous usage statistics may be collected to improve app stability, only if you explicitly opt-in.
Local-First Promise
Unlike traditional AI assistants, Offline AI Chat does not use cloud-based LLM providers. Every word you type and every response you receive is computed on your CPU/GPU locally.
